Frequently asked questions
Create your household, then tap Invite. Halvy generates a one-time code that's valid for 48 hours — share it however you like.
You can, but Halvy is built for two. Most features assume a shared household, so a solo experience will feel a bit roomy.
You can leave the household at any time. Co-owned records stay with the remaining partner, and your name is anonymized on shared entries.
Yes. Receipts are encrypted on your device and again at rest on our server. We never connect to your bank and we don't sell your data — ever.
On-device OCR means your receipt image never leaves your phone unencrypted. Apple's Vision framework extracts merchant, total, and date locally — so we can't see the picture even if we wanted to.
No. You enter or scan expenses yourself. Halvy never links to financial institutions, and we have no plans to change that.
Open Settings → Export in the iOS app. You'll get a CSV of every expense, goal, and contribution.
Open Settings → Delete account. Your personal data is removed, and co-owned records are anonymized rather than deleted.
Each household picks one currency at setup in v1 — the full ISO 4217 list is available. Multi-currency households are on the roadmap.
English, Deutsch, Español, and Français at launch. Number, date, and currency formats follow your device locale.
This site is marketing-only. Halvy itself is an iOS 17+ app at launch — an Android version is on the roadmap.
Halvy is free during the v1 beta. A premium tier with extras will arrive after launch; core features will stay free.
